Physical, reserved, held and available stock
How Beam Mobile shows stock by position, what each stock state means and what appears in stock history.
A product in Beam has a stock balance for each spot, not just one total. You can see both how much is there and how much you can actually use.
The product overview
Inventory shows your products as In stock, Low stock or Out of stock. The Stock signals scope filters products that need attention; if everything is replenished, it says No stock signals — everything is replenished. On a wide screen, columns include SKU, Barcode, Stock, Min and Reorder point.
Stock states by position

| Physical | What is at the spot. |
| Reserved | Assigned to an order and no longer free. |
| Held | Set aside with a reason, for example for inspection. |
| Available | Physical minus reserved and held: what you can use now. |
| Unplaced | Received without a spot; to be placed later. |
A product uses Quantity stock (counted in units) or Serialised stock (each unit has its own EPC). The choice is fixed once the product has stock; see adding stock.
Actions from a product
A product’s action panel offers Change quantities (Update or scan in stock), Move (Choose a new location), Find in store (RFID wide-scan), Edit details and Tracking mode. Every quantity change requires a reason, so the history explains what happened.
Stock history
Stock history shows events for each position: Received, Adjusted, Reclassified, Held, Released, Added and Removed. Moves are not in this history; find them in the activity log.
Delete a product
Delete product requires confirmation and cannot be undone. Beam only allows it when no stock or dependencies remain attached to the product.
