Sign in and choose your organisation

Beam Mobile is the app for work on the floor: counting, scanning, picking, receiving and putting away stock. Instead of entering a password in the app itself, you sign in through a secure page that the app opens for you.

Before you start

• You need an invitation or an existing Beam account. A colleague with administrator permissions can invite you from Users.
• Install the app from the download page.

Sign in

1. Open the app. The welcome screen shows Sign in and Create account.
2. Tap Sign in. The app displays Opening secure sign-in… and opens the sign-in page.
3. Sign in on that page. After a successful sign-in, you return to the app automatically.

Received an invitation by email? Open the link on the device where the app is installed. The app starts the sign-in process with your invitation.

Choose your organisation

After sign-in, the app determines which organisation you work in.

• If you belong to one organisation, the app opens it directly.
• If you see Select an organisation, tap Select organisation and choose from the list. You can return to this choice through Switch organisation in the settings menu.

An organisation may have the status Being created, Suspended or Closed. With Admin only, you can manage the organisation but cannot read inventory: you arrive at Insights and Users.

If you cannot sign in

Message in the app	What it means
Sign-in was cancelled.	The sign-in page closed before you signed in. Try again.
Sign-in could not be completed. Please try again.	The return to the app failed. Start the sign-in process again.
The sign-in service is unavailable. Check your connection.	Your device does not have a working internet connection.
Your session has expired. Sign in again.	You have been inactive for some time. Sign in again.

Sign out

Open the settings menu by tapping the organisation name at the top, or selecting Settings in the sidebar, then choose Sign out.
