Use the floor plan

The Floor plan maps your working location: zones, racks and storage positions, along with the stock they hold. Searching, picking and putaway all use the same map.

Open and view

Open Floor plan from the menu. The app loads the map (Loading floor plan…) and stock (Loading inventory…). Switch between 3D and 2D at the top. Each rack shows its storage positions and unit count (24 positions, 480 units), and how full it is, from Empty to Full. The unplaced count is shown separately because that stock has no assigned position yet.

If the location is empty, you see This location is empty. If you see Could not load map, check your connection.

Search the floor

1. Open the search bar: Search products, EPCs, spots or locations…
2. Results are grouped under PRODUCTS, EPCS, SPOTS and LOCATIONS.
3. Tap a result. Its position lights up on the map.

Highlights remain until you clear them with Clear all highlights (3).

Zones and storage positions

A floor plan consists of typed zones: Rack, Column, Table, Display, Zone or Round. A rack contains positions (spots) with a code and barcode, so you can scan them when moving or putting away stock.

Location hierarchy shows the overall structure: counts of Maps, Zones, Spots and Orphaned spots without a zone. A spot or zone containing stock cannot simply disappear; what happens to its contents must be addressed first.

Create a floor plan

An administrator chooses Create new map: Create custom map for a bespoke layout, or Generate example map using an industry template. Import master loads an existing layout. Under Review changes, the app shows Errors and Warnings before you tap Apply.

Save

The map saves changes automatically and shows its status: Saved, Saving…, Unsaved, Save failed or Saved offline. With Saved offline, the change is stored on the device. Just synchronised appears once the connection returns.
