Close a count and export the report
Mark a count as complete, download its report and delete a count without losing the evidence you need.
Closing a count changes its status to Done and records the result. You can then export the report as evidence.
Before closing
- In flight and Queued in the Sync section must both be 0.
- No unknown or invalid observations remain unresolved.
Close the count
- Open the count and choose Close (Mark count as complete). You can also choose Close count from the list.
- Confirm Are you sure you want to close this count? The status will change to “Done”. with Close.
- The count shows the Count closed banner. If there are no discrepancies, it says Everything matches — no discrepancies.
If closing fails, the app reports Closing failed. Check the connection and the two conditions above.
Export the report
Choose Export report for the count in the list. The app reports Report downloaded. The report contains counted and expected quantities and discrepancies for each product. If no report exists yet, the app reports No count report found.
Delete a count
Delete an open count with Delete count, then confirm Are you sure you want to delete this count? This cannot be undone.
Deleting a closed count has greater consequences. The app warns: Warning! You are about to delete a CLOSED count. All data for this count will be permanently lost. Follow the app’s advice: export the report first, then choose Delete anyway.
Resolve discrepancies. Closing does not silently adjust stock. Handle a product’s shortage or surplus deliberately afterwards, for example by correcting quantities or writing off EPCs.
