Write off EPCs in bulk

Write off unique units missed in several counts at once, and understand what happens in the background.

Updated 2 min read

A unit missing from count after count is probably gone. Rather than writing off each EPC individually, you can do it in bulk based on count results.

Before you start

  • The latest counts have been closed; the bulk action uses closed counts.
  • You have a working connection. Offline, the app says You appear to be offline. Try again once you are back online.

Steps

  1. Open EPCs and choose Write off EPCs.
  2. Under Not seen in the last, choose the number of counts, such as 3.
  3. Check how many units meet the condition. Units never included in a count are skipped; the app tells you this.
  4. Confirm. The app says Running in the background — safe to close.

While it runs

The list may lag briefly: The list may be out of date. EPCs are being written off in the background. Pull down to refresh when complete. You can carry on working.

If a unit is found later

If a written-off unit turns up, open its EPC details and choose Restore. Both the write-off and the restoration remain in its history.
