A1000 RFID Antenna

A1000 RFID Antenna

The A1000 is a UHF RFID antenna, not a standalone scanner. It always needs an RFID reader connected to it to work: either the Impinj R700 or the Brady FR22. This antenna handles the radio communication with RFID tags; the reader does the actual processing. Compact, IP65-rated with 6 dBic gain, ideal for smaller setups or installations requiring multiple antennas.

Frequently asked questions

The A1000 delivers a typical read range of 3-6 meters depending on the RFID reader, tag type and environment. The 6 dBic gain provides solid performance for most indoor applications.

The A1000 is IP65-rated, which means it is dust-tight and protected against water jets. It is suitable for indoor use and sheltered outdoor locations. For fully exposed outdoor installations, consider the Kathrein WRA 3070 with IP67 rating.

The A1000 is more compact and budget-friendly with 6 dBic gain and IP65 protection. The Kathrein WRA 3070 offers higher gain (12 dBic), better IP67 protection and is designed for larger, more demanding setups with up to 20m read range. Choose the A1000 when you need multiple antennas at a lower cost.

The A1000 is an antenna only. It cannot read RFID tags by itself. You always need a separate RFID reader connected to it. In the Beam ecosystem this is either the Impinj R700 (supports up to 4 antennas) or the Brady FR22. The reader is sold separately and is not included with this antenna.

No, the SMA cable is not included as cable length depends on your installation. We can help you select the right cable type and length to ensure optimal signal quality.
