Scan table as central point for order processing

Rebo Systems was looking for a more efficient way to improve order processing and inventory control, but had no need to switch ERP systems. Rebo has been working with AFAS for more than ten years, which is deeply integrated into their processes. Therefore, Beam was chosen as an additional solution, which seamlessly connects to AFAS via an API.

With an RFID scan table from Beam, orders are checked for completeness: items are simply placed on the table and automatically recognized via RFID. This speeds up the control process, prevents human errors, and provides direct feedback to AFAS. For inventory checks, employees use handheld RFID scanners, with which large numbers of items are quickly scanned without manual entry or barcodes. These handheld scanners can also be used to trace lost items using our item locator module.

Beam supplies pre-printed and coded RFID tags that are directly applicable in the process. In addition, employees can easily print RFID labels from Beam itself when needed. Thanks to Beam, Rebo Systems now has an accurate, real-time control layer on top of AFAS. This results in fewer errors, higher processing speed, and complete traceability of item movements without replacing the existing ERP system.
